Getting help from CRM Dost
Last reviewed
Where Help is in the app, how to report a bug or raise a ticket, how replies reach you, and what support will never do from a ticket.
Help is inside the app on every surface. On a phone it is in the side menu, beside Settings; on a desktop it is the Help button beside the notification bell and an entry in your account menu; Settings → Account has a Help row too, and the sign-up screens show a "Need help?" link. It stays open when a workspace's plan has lapsed, because that is often the moment you need it.
Quick help
Search these help-centre articles from inside the app and open the one that answers you. Under the search box are our email and WhatsApp details with the hours we answer them.
Report a bug
Describe what went wrong (at least a sentence) and, if you like, what you were doing. Add up to 5 screenshots or PDFs, each up to 5 MB. Pictures are shrunk on your device before they are sent.
A bug report attaches details that help us reproduce it, and the form lists every one of them under "What we attach" before you send: the app version and the build it is running, whether you are on the web, Android or iOS and on a phone, tablet or desktop, the last screen you were on (its name only, never what you typed or searched), your device model and operating system, your browser, time zone and language, whether you were online, and the last few error messages the app recorded, with any email addresses and phone numbers removed. Never type a password, card number or one-time code into a ticket; we will never ask for one.
If the app is recording your session for troubleshooting, the form offers a tickbox to include a link to that recording. It is unticked until you tick it, and the recording hides every piece of text, typing and picture on your screen.
Raise a ticket
For anything that is not a bug — billing, your account or sign-in, a how-to question, a feature request or something else — choose the category, give the ticket a subject and a description, and attach up to 5 files. The ticket is raised for the workspace you have selected; switch workspace first to ask about another. Choosing Bug takes you to the bug form with what you have typed.
My tickets
- Every ticket you raised, in any workspace, with the newest activity first and a dot on the ones with a reply you have not read. Filter by Open, Resolved or All.
- Open a ticket to read the conversation and reply, with attachments if needed. Staff sign their replies as "<First name> from CRM Dost".
- Mark as solved closes the loop yourself. A ticket we have marked resolved can be reopened for a limited time afterwards — the resolved email says how long — by replying or pressing Reopen. After that, or once a ticket is closed, start a follow-up ticket.
How replies reach you
You are told in the app, and by email at your verified address, when we receive your ticket, when we reply and when it is resolved. Replies to those emails are not added to your ticket automatically: reply inside the app, under My tickets, so your message reaches the person handling it.
Hours and other ways to reach us
We answer tickets, support@crmdost.com and WhatsApp (+91-9625799600) Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM IST. A ticket is the best route, because it carries the details we need and keeps the whole conversation in one place.
What support will never do from a ticket
Anyone signed in can raise a ticket, and a ticket only proves that someone is signed in. So some requests are never acted on from one, however it is worded, and we point you to the path that checks who is asking instead.
- Reset your two-step verification. Use a backup code; or ask your workspace Owner, who can reset it from Settings → Security; or, if you belong to more than one workspace, send an account recovery request from the code screen, which asks for your name, phone number and an ID document. See "Lost your phone? Get back into your account".
- Change the email address on an account, or sign you in as someone else. Your sign-in is proved by your password, Google or Apple account and your two-step code, and support has no way around them.
- Transfer a workspace to someone else, or add, remove or change the roles of its members. Those changes are made in the app by the workspace's Owner — ask them.
- Share billing details, invoices or payment information. A workspace Owner finds them on the Billing screen, which Subscription in the side menu opens.
If your question is about a specific lead or screen, open Help from that screen: a bug report notes which screen you came from, so we can start from the right place.
